This EU shortsighted rule-making unfortunately did not exempt commercial vacuum cleaners.(where one might need extra oomph),.and so the rules also apply to them.. Like other manufacturers, Sebo had to modify and re-engineer their entire range to take 900w motors..

They managed quite admirably, and the current range of cleaners haven’t noticeably suffered any performance deficiencies due to their innovative redesign.So if you buy a current model machine, don’t be afraid it will be wheezy and useless – it won’t.

Manufacturers are screwing every last bit of suction out of their allotted 900w, and Sebo have legendary German engineers and designers..

However, some people (and Brexiteers especially) if they can get their hands on them, prefer to have one of the pre-EU ‘vacuum ban’ machines that are seen as more powerful.We won’t fix your washing machine.. We’ll fix your Dyson.

(as we do those too).but we prefer not to fix Hoover, Gtech, Shark or Vax given a choice.
